When you schedule your routine eye test, you may be forgiven in thinking
that your appointment is simply just to test your eyesight. However, Conor
has invested in the most up to date Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
equipment that can provide an in-depth picture of your overall eye health
too, including screening for eye disease. This is offered as part of your
standard eye examination.
When you come for your 30 minute eye exam you will be screened for
Internal Eye Health
● Cataract development
● Age Related macular Degeneration (AMD)
● Retinitis Pigmentosa
● Intraocular Pressure Check (IOP) FOR Glaucoma, overall health of the
optic disc
● Diabetic Retinopathy
● Nevus (freckle mapping) and monitoring


External Eye Health
● Corneal health, corneal abrasions, ulcers, keratoconus
● Tear production, blocked tear ducts, tear quality and dry eye
syndrome
● Eyelid health – Blepharitis, Conjunctivitis, Ptosis, Entropion,
Ectropion
● Any changes in eye health will be monitored, and in certain case’s
Conor will refer the patient to an Ophthalmologist for further
investigation
